Snowpocolypse 2014 update

Snowpocolyspe 2014
No, we have not been snowed in since January 28, I'm just struggling with finding time to blog. But, we did end up with school closures (3.5 days for CSU, 2 days for CofC, an early release, a full day, and a 2 hour delay for public schools).

And, as you can clearly see from the pictures, it was nothing like a Buffalo snow storm. But, we did have some ice which closed many of our bridges. The Ravenel Bridge (our biggest bridge and a suspension bridge) was closed the longest and then had to re-close again as the temperature began to rise because huge chunks of ice were falling onto the roadway.

Honestly, it really became a min-vacation for everyone and allowed for some post-Christmas R&R. I considered it a gift and was filled with gratitude for the chance to slowdown for a couple of days in the middle of the week. It doesn't happen often in Charleston but when it does, the whole town gets excited!
